Embodied Storytelling
I am a movement artist, a director, a choreographer, a deviser of moving images, and a writer of words intended to be spoken aloud. My works are grounded, terrestrial, and deeply athletic. I embrace whimsy and celebrate the human kinesthetic experience through complex partnering, audible breath, and staging that pulls the audience into the work. Text often drives my process, and frequently accompanies my work. I make physical theatre that is informed by modern dance. My work is about community. I am an ensemble creator.
